GHI011 - Reforestation & Environmental Education

Location: Kumasi Region
Project Aims: Volunteers will educate the people about the need to ensure a greener environment and to preserve the cover of the area. Volunteers can also be involved in running HIV/AIDS educational programs if they choose to.
Project Tasks: Volunteers will assist with reforestation planning and tree planting. Volunteers will also assist with educating the community on conservation, the importance of reforestation and environmentally safe practises.
Who Can Participate?: All volunteers who are interested in conservation can assist.
Placement Costs: Volunteers are to contribute US$50 per week to cover food and accommodation with a local host family. This also includes an airport pick-up from Accra.
Transportation: Volunteers should budget approximately US$4 per day for transport costs
