About the Project: A family needs your help: 2 sisters and 3 brothers from Chaplygins family. Soon the children will go from the local orphanage school and they will need to live somewhere. Their house is situated in outskirts of the city and needs basic renovation: there is no water system, no electricity, the roof is leaking.
Terminal: Moscow.
Work: - Volunteers suppose to speak with children in foreign languages in order to inspirate them for further learning, as well as make a presentation of their country with costumes, songs, flags, movies etc. (“Country Day”)
- Help with its organisation (to find a receipt of a typical meal of your country, decorations, musical arrangement of the “Country Day”).
- Might also have to participate in some renovation works in a local monastery and a sport yard.
Volunteer's Skills & Interests: The work is physically hard and volunteers should be fit enough.
Accommodation & Food: In rooms together with children. Food: 5 times per day in a canteen.
Free Time: Possibilities include sightseeing, cinemas, theatres, museums, discos, international cultural events, friendly evenings with locals. Excursions to the local natural preserve “Divnogorye” (curative spring and ancient churches hollowed out in chalky hills - be ready to spend 1 weekend in tents!) or to a big monastic complex in the town of Zadonsk and some of the cities of the region (Lipetsk, Yelets).
Project Language: English.
Required Items: Smoke free placement! Knowledge of handicrafts, of making workshops with children (origami, bead work, wood engraving etc.) is very welcome as well as experience of work with children. Medical documents needed.

Notes: Since an invitation letter is connected with some additional expenses we are obliged to ask a contribution of 20 Euro from each volunteer upon extra fees mentioned in the description. It covers the insurance for the whole term, invitation state fees, sending the official letter of invitation to the volunteer via usual mail.
Placement cost: Volunteers will get reimbursement for their travel costs Moscow - Nerekhta and back.
