VNI004 - Teaching Spoken English

Duration: 4 weeks +
Location: Mekong Delta.
Background Information: A school in the Mekong Delta; children from 9 - 14 years old.
Arrival Airport: Ho Chi Minh International Airport.
Project Tasks: Teaching spoken English at the school. Volunteers also teach adults in their homes who hope to immigrate or have to speak English at work.
Who Can Participate?: All volunteers wanting to participate in this placement are required to submit a police report which clears them for participation in activities with minors.
Meals: Provided by the host.
Accommodation: Basic accommodation, usually in a Youth house.
Hours of Activity: Classes are very informal, and will be at different times of the day and evening.
Required Items: Mosquito cream, torch, working gloves, suncream, small gift for children, pictures from their country, special food from their country, cooking book, music instrument, and WARM CLOTHES IN WINTER.
Note: This placement is not available from mid January to mid February and June to September every year.
