VNI007 - Teaching Spoken English

Duration: 3 months +
Location: Ho Chi Minh.
Arrival Airport: Ho Chi Minh International Airport.
Project Aims: Vietnamese-run organisation that assists street children and children from very poor families in Ho Chi Minh City.
Project Tasks: To assist Vietnamese teachers of English at the school. Volunteers may also help with theatre, circus, singing and dance classes, organising and playing games with the children, helping the children to practise English, and helping the project manager to contact sponsors for the theatre project.
Who Can Participate?: Native English speaking volunteers. All volunteers wanting to participate in this placement are required to submit a police report which clears them for participation in activities with minors.
Meals: Provided by the host.
Accommodation: Basic accommodation.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Mosquito cream, torch, working gloves, suncream, small gift for children, pictures from their country, special food from their country, cooking book,music instrument, and WARM CLOTHES IN WINTER.
Note: Teaching qualifications or experience not mandatory.
