ZAI012 - Summer Schools

Dates: December and 3 weeks in June / July.
Location: Various locations around Hermanus, Western Cape.
Project Aims: To help keep poor children off the streets in the school holidays.
Project Tasks: - Teach them new skills to build up their confidence and self-esteem.
- Work with teachers and young volunteers from poor townships as they gain training in.
- Work with Children by joining in activities such as sports, arts and crafts, educational workshops and outings.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP.
Meals: Volunteers will receive breakfast and lunch during the week days.
Accommodation: Is not provided but assistance is given in finding suitable low cost accommodation at about 350 Rand (AUD$ 58) per week.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
