USI002 - Community Development
Duration: 3 months +
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Project Tasks: Two types of volunteers are needed:
The first for those with administrative / managerial interests seeking practical experience in the day-to-day operations of a small, non-profit organisation to perform relevant tasks:
- Bookkeeping
- Fund development
- Grant compliance
- Preparation of board and board committee packets, project selection and evaluation, etc.
The second is for those more interested in education, health, and social service delivery within community-based domestic and international programs tasks will include:
- Project correspondence,
- Communication
- Evaluation
- Identification
-Written summation of activities for presentation to the broader public.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP. Suitably qualified university and graduate students are eligible for Long Term Placements.
Meals: You may need to contribute a little towards food costs
Accommodation: Accommodation provided by the hosts
Note: Long Term Placements. There is also potential for travel to domestic (within USA) and international projects.
