ECI012 - Disabled Children

Duration: 6 weeks +
Location: Quito.
Background Information: The institution is 6 years old . There are 65 Children benefiting from this organisation and they have a staff of 15 persons.
Project Tasks: Help and development of the children`s education; Help the integration of the children into society; Better the children's motriz functions; and prepare the children to become independent.
Placement Costs: US$250 per month for accommodation and breakfasts or US$ 330 for accommodation and all meals.
Transportation: Located in the south of the Quito city.
Hours of Activity: The institution works from 7:30 am to 13:00
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
Language: Basic Spanish required.
Note: Placement available from January to August and Mid September to mid December. the volunteers need at least one week to learn how to help the children of course there are some special cases where the volunteers are experts in this area because they studied or they had this kind of experience in other countries.
