ECI011 - Assist street kids

Duration: 4 weeks +
Location: Quito.
Project Aims: The project helps children from 5 to 16 years old through providing a safe place where the children can eat lunch, do homework, watch TV, play table soccer and have computer lessons.
Project Tasks: Volunteers help with all the general duties of the organisation including helping the children with home-work, playing games with them, teaching computer skills.
Who Can Participate?: IVP.
Optional Activities: Weekends for sightseeing around Ecuador.
Placement Costs: US$ 250 per month for accommodation and breakfasts.
Or: US$330 per month for accommodation and all meals.
Accommodation: Provided in the project house
Hours of Activity: Help from 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
Language: Basic Spanish required.
Note: Placement available from January to August and Mid September to mid December.
