ECI010 - Reserve at the Headwaters of the Amazon
Duration: 4 weeks +
Location: A remote native Indian reserve.
Background Information: The founders of the reserve often confiscate animals from poachers, include - jaguars, parrots, monkeys, caimans and capybaras, needing to be rehabilitated before they are released into the wild.
Project Tasks: Volunteers are needed to help with the ecological side of the reserve, such as reforestation, conservation of the native fauna and flora species and assist in caring for injured native animals.
Placement Costs: US$ 450 per month. This includes good accommodation, three meals a day and some local tours.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Language: Basic Spanish is essential.
