ECI009 - Helping small villages at the headwaters of the Amazon
Duration: 2 weeks +
Location: Santa Ana.
Project Aims: Helping the local people to maintain their customs and traditional circumstances to provide a living, instead of ruining the natural environment through the deforesting logging practices of outsiders, with no long term considerations for a sustainable future for these people.
Project Tasks: Volunteers will be repairing buildings; possibly educating the local community and assisting with small-scale native agricultural practices to produce foods such as bananas and papaya. Help to make handcrafted saleable gifts from available sustainable resources.
Who Can Participate?: Opportunities available for volunteers with specialised skills and interests to research and record details.

Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
