BRI002 - School for disadvantaged children.

Duration: 2-6 weeks.
Dates: This placement can accept volunteers during the school holidays, but it is not recommended. School Holidays run from mid-December to the end of January, and for 2 weeks in mid-July.
Location: Belo Horizonte
Project Tasks: Volunteers will assist teachers with teaching spoken English to students through playing games, sports, singing, dancing, etc. All activities are already prepared, however volunteers are encouraged to bring games from their home country. Volunteers will be with the children and teenagers from 0700 to 1730 with breaks for lunch and coffee.
Who Can Participate?: No need to know Portuguese, but a desire to work with children and teenagers in particular is essential.
Placement Costs: Food and accommodation are provided for free.
Accommodation: Volunteers will stay with one of the teachers from the school.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
