Background Information: This House for Children has been
running for more than 40 years, live 25 children aged from 2 to 21, together with some staff, the house has a first floor with an apartment
for volunteers and university and Spanish students, argentine and foreign, and tourists.
The apartment for students/volunteers has bedroom for two or three people maximum and private bathrooms, this system not only provide the children at the house with big brothers but also helps to fund the Orphanage through your payment of food and accommodation. The children always enjoy playing with students and volunteers and you will be able to practice your reading and oral use of Spanish a lot.

Project Aims: Teach and take care of homeless children helping them to grow in a better environment
Project Tasks: The volunteers will be required to organize mainly recreation activities, including sport and exercise, in their playground at the house or taking them to the park or square nearby, going for a drink or to the cinema with the adolescents or any ideas the volunteer may have, in general terms the main thing is to offer the children and the teenagers their friendship and advices, care and companionship trying to teach them to be responsible and get interests in improving in life, specially with the adolescents as they many times lack incentive
Who Can Participate?: Teachers are especially sought after for this placement, but anyone who cares and would like to help children is very much welcome.

Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: All volunteers going to Argentina must be willing to take Spanish lessons on arrival if no prior Spanish is known. Volunteers must also be able to obtain a current police clearance.
