ESI001 - Permaculture and Conservation

Duration: 2 weeks +
Location: Cerdanya Valley
Background Information: Projects: Permaculture & organic and bio-dynamic gardening, conservation work programmes, environmental design and architecture, sustainable energy initiatives, holistic workshops and courses, therapeutic respite centre including spa-bath facilities.
Project Tasks: - Clear and make improvements to the river and surrounding landscape.
- Restore the acequia (irrigation canal).
- Maintain and better the present facilities and gardens.
- Contribute to new and on-going projects requiring manual, domestic.
- Organisational and administration skills.
Who Can Participate?: SIVP or IVP. The main requirement is community spirit. Volunteers must provide a character and/or work reference to be accepted. Basic Spanish skills necessary.
Meals: May have to contribute to food costs.
Hours of Activity: Five and a half days a week.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
