Note: The Kanzat Al-Shita (The Winter Sweater Program) is now ten years 'in the making' and achieved the making of 88,763 sweaters in these ten years. Yes, eighty eight thousand, seven hundred and sixty three sweaters have been made by these disadvantaged people at the school and then donated to sixty nine welfare centres spread all over Lebanon.
These centres are responsible for over 21,034 people with 16,461 orphans, 2,749 seniors, 1,674 people with special needs and 150 juvenile delinquents in the community.
Each sweater was sponsored by a donation of US$15 that was received from all over the world.
IVI is not responsible for the fund raising but the IVvolunteers did help to play a part in the special school where it all happened and every one enjoyed their experience for which they too can be a little bit proud of such success.
