KSI001 - Assistance to Refugees.

Duration: 3 months +
Location: Prishtina International Airport.
Project Aims: To make life easier and more rewarding, contributing to a climate of trust and self-confidence in which people will more easily see the opportunities open to them.
Project Tasks: - Playing with kids and youth, sport, theater, drawing, organising games.
- Language courses, music, video and photo workshops.
- Running kindergarten.
- Gardening.
- Youth center projects.
- Environmental projects.
Who Can Participate?: IVP & SIVP.
- Volunteers who speak English, Italian or German are appreciated (some Albanians and many Kosovars speak these languages).
- All volunteers wanting to participate in this placement are required to submit a police report which clears them for participation in activities with minors.
- Minimum age 21.

Placement Costs: Euro150 for 3 months food and accommodation payable to the organisation upon arrival.
Meals: Simple food provided.
Accommodation: Housing conditions are adequate, but bedrooms and other facilities are shared, and sometimes crowded. Houses are non-smoking.
Transportation: An International Driving License is very useful if you can drive.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes, hat, towel, and basic toiletries.
Note: There are projects in Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania. The exact places and work volunteers will be doing will depend upon current programming.
You will need to be flexible! While accident insurance is provided, this does NOT cover the direct consequences of war; in other words it does NOT cover MINE accidents or other UXO (unexploded ordinance - e.g. cluster bombs). Nor is it a substitute for medical insurance

IVP = Placements for individual volunteers with no special experience or training.
SIVP = Placements for volunteers with related experience, expertise or proven interest
