FNI001 - Beef Cattle

Duration: 2 weeks +
Location: Lapland, Helsinki.
Background Information: One farm up in Lapland has magnificent arctic scenery of field and forest. Another one which is not far from Helsinki has a sea frontage and large herd that produces prime paddock reared and winter shedded beef for on farm sales.
Arrival Airport: Jyvaskyla airport.
Project Aims: Heavily mechanised hay making and cropping in the summer for feeding out in the winter. Spring calving and general farm activities.
Project Tasks: Assist with general duties and live with families.
Who Can Participate?: Must be in good physical condition.
Meals: Provided by the host family.
Accommodation: Provided by the host family.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
