NPI006 - Education, Pokhara

Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, Maximum 16 weeks.
Location: Pokhara.
Arrival Airport: Tribhuvan International Airport of Nepal.
Project Tasks: - Teach English, Arts/Crafts, sports and computers.
- Community projects for women and children. Public health programs (HIV/AIDS, drug addictions etc...)
- Assistance for disabled peoples.
Volunteers are welcome to suggest ideas, that may be suitable for implementation into these programs, to their hosts.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP.
Placement Costs: Includes all food and accommodation, airport transfer, city orientation and transport to placement.

Meals: Locals meals provided.
Accommodation: With a Nepali family.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Note: Volunteers will be given a brief orientation about the programme schedule, health care, Nepali language, cultural orientation and an introduction to their allocated Nepali host family. This phase also includes city tours and sight seeing. All these activities and experiences will help volunteers to build self confidence and develop their cultural understanding.
