NPI004 - Teaching English

Duration: 2 weeks - 6 months
Location: Rural or urban areas.
Arrival Airport: Tribhuvan International Airport of Nepal.
Project Tasks: - Volunteers may also have the opportunity to assist in the designing, developing.
- Running of community-based programs for Conservation projects, Women's Empowerment, Legal Advocacy Training and Tourism Sustainability.
Who Can Participate?: SIVP.
Placement Costs: Food, accommodation, Nepali language training and transfers are included in the placement fee. A portion of the placement fee also goes towards a local orphanage in Nepal.
US$200 for 2 weeks,
US$350 for 6 weeks,
US$600 for 3 months,
US$1000 for 6 months.
Accommodation: With a Nepali family.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Volunteers must be have or be completing a degree or have skills in their particular area of interest.
Note: Volunteers will be given a brief orientation about the programme schedule, health care, Nepali language, cultural orientation and an introduction to their allocated Nepali host family. This phase also includes city tours and sight seeing. All these activities and experiences will help volunteers to build self confidence and develop their cultural understanding.

IVP = Placements for individual volunteers with no special experience or training.
SIVP = Placements for volunteers with related experience, expertise or proven interest
