NPI001 - Teach English in public schools

Duration: 2 - 6 months
Location: Kathmandu
Arrival Airport: Tribhuvan International Airport of Nepal.
Project Aims: Teaching in a deprived rural area, either in a poorly resourced government school, or informally among villagers.
Project Tasks: Native speakers are sometimes placed in one of the many private schools advertising "English-medium" education, where the standard of English is much better, easing communication with school staff and pupils. You could also help with administration in the organisation's office in Kathmandu or use your relevant knowledge to carry out research.
Who Can Participate?: IVP
Placement Costs: US$45 per week to support the project and cover food cost & accommodation.
Accommodation: Provided with a host family
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: English need not be your native language,you only need reasonable verbal and written skills.
Note: Placement available all year round.
