INI009 - Teaching in a Secondary School

Duration: Min. 8 weeks. Max. 24 weeks.
Location: East Coast, South of Chennai.
Background Information: The organisation also provides vocational training for the children.
Arrival Airport: Chennai International Airport
Project Aims: To provide education to those who cannot afford it with the philosophy that every child deserves to have the opportunity to be educated.
Project Tasks: Volunteers will be teaching in the classroom.
In addition, volunteers can aid the organisation through raising funds for the development of the school as well as the sponsorship of children.
Who Can Participate?: Volunteers are expected to be fluent in English and are preferred to have a completed degree in any field to assist at this placement, however, university students, especially those studying Education, will be considered.

Accommodation: Provided by the host
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: You will need to provide a Police Records Clearance Check.
