CNI010 - Education for 8-17 year olds

Duration: Min 2 weeks, Max 8 weeks
Location: near Xi’an
Project Tasks: Volunteers are needed to teach conversational English to students ranging from age 8 to 17 years old in a rural area;
Volunteers can also help with a Dental clinic service in the farming village and help catergorize English books in the village school library.
Placement Costs: US$70 per week includes all food, water, accommodation and internet useage
Accommodation: Volunteers will live with local host families. They will have their private room and shower and western style toilet. The family will provide beddings, sheets and pillows.
Note: Volunteers are not accepted during the months of June, July and October as this is peak farming time. It is also important to remember that the months of December, January and February are extremely cold.
