BNI001 - Help to reduce poverty

Duration: 12 weeks +
Location: North-Western Bangladesh
Background Information: Assisting the Bangladesh Rural Improvement Foundation (BRIF) a Non-Government and non-profit making development organisation.
Project Aims: To create a consensus for development in the community and empower disadvantaged people through poverty alleviation and other socio-economic cultural promotional programs to participate in the development process of the country.
Project Tasks: - Teaching.
- Gardening.
- Nutrition.
- Women's development.
Placement Costs: US$5 per day for food and accommodation. US$150 donation to the organisation also to be paid on arrival
Accommodation: Volunteers will have their own private room.
Note: It is possible to undertake a placement covering a variety of projects run the organisation.
