UGI010 - Conservation Planning and Education

Duration: Min. 6 weeks, max. 52 weeks.
Arrival Airport: Entebbe International Airport.
Project Tasks: - Educating local people of the dangers of a degraded environment and sanitation issues.
- Designing and implementing programs to ensure environmental sustainability with stock food, soil control and fuel wood as local resources.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP.
Placement Costs: Food and accommodation provided for US$50 per week.
Meals: Provided by a host family
Accommodation: Volunteers will be living with a host family
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
