UGI009 - Counselling and Public Health

Duration: Min 2 weeks, max. 4 weeks.
Location: Near Masaka.
Arrival Airport: Entebbe International Airport.
Project Tasks: - Visiting and providing counselling to orphans, people with HIV/AIDS and the elderly.
- Providing public health education and informal training to adults.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP. Volunteers with skills in Counselling, human resources and medical training are required. University students studying for degrees in the appropriate areas will be also considered.
Placement Costs: US$20 contribution towards food and accommodation per week.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries
