KEI007- Animal Conservation
Duration: Min. 2 weeks, Max. 6 months.
Location: Coastal Region
Project Aims: Volunteers are needed to work with our wild animal projects and to share our passion for wildlife and its conservation. Many animals face a threatened existance by an expanding human population and settlement, poaching and game-sports.
Project Tasks: Predator research, game monitoring, assisting a wildlife vet with treatment, game darting and other procedures, assist the park teams in capturing and relocating animals, natural resource management, ecological care, game counting, maintenance of infrastructure, caring of the injured and orphaned animals, carrying out fence patrols and public education in local communities.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP.
Placement Costs: Food and accommodation provided with a host family for 250 Euros per month .
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
