KEI019- Conservation
Duration: Min. 2 weeks, Max. 6 months.
Location: Kakamega
Project Aims: Help in saving the Kenya's biodiversity and environment which is facing major threats. Your contribution will help community’s tame desertification, protect ancient rain-forest, save water resources and help local communities to access clean water and air for sustainable development.
Project Tasks: Environmental Education, Scientific study, Research, nature-based Income-generation Schemes and afforestation.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP.
Placement Costs: Food and accommodation provided with a host family for 250 Euros per month .
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
Note: Suggested/optional Airport pick-up US$20.
