CMI006 - Vocational training for teenagers

Duration: Min. 2 weeks, max. 52 weeks.
Dates: Placement available from September to mid-December and mid-January to June.
Location: South-West Cameroon.
Arrival Airport: Douala International Airport.
Project Tasks: - Assist by teaching vocational skills to older children, ie woodworking, computers and agricultural skills.
- Volunteers may also become involved in HIV/AIDS awareness programs.
Who Can Participate?: SIVP.
Placement Costs: Accommodation with a host family to cost US$40 per week for food.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.

IVP = Placements for individual volunteers with no special experience or training.
SIVP = Placements for volunteers with related experience, expertise or proven interest
