CMI002 - Rural Schools

Duration: Min. 4 weeks, max. 52 weeks.
Dates: This placement is not available in July/August and mid December to mid January.
Location: Either in South-West or North-West Cameroon.
Arrival Airport: Douala International Airport.
Project Tasks: IVP/SIVP. Volunteers are needed to teach basic subjects such as maths, English, French and computers in local primary and secondary level schools.
Who Can Participate?: All volunteers wanting to participate in this placement are required to submit a police report which clears them for participation in activities with minors.
Placement Costs: Accommodation and food provided with a host family for a contribution of AU$40 per week.
Hours of Activity: Monday to Friday
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
