KEI002 - Teaching at a rural school

Duration: Min 6 weeks, but Long term volunteers preferred.
Location: Near Kisumu.
Project Tasks: Teaching opportunities available are:
- Pre-unit,
- Primary teacher for English, French, German, Science, and Computers.
- Secondary Teacher: Sciences, English, Mathematics, Computers, other languages.
- Librarian,
- School Management,
- Community activities.
Who Can Participate?: IVP/SIVP. All volunteers wanting to participate in this placement are required to submit a police report which clears them for participation in activities with minors.
Placement Costs: Food and Accommodation provided for US$50 per week.
Accommodation: Volunteers will be living with a Kenyan host family
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.
