Duration: 4 weeks +
Dates: Available all year, volunteers are especially needed during the school holidays (Dec, Jan; the start of May; end of August
Location: Nadi
Background Information: Nadi Town Council Library is a public library that lends books to the public, provides an internet service and assistance and also holds Children's activity sessions.
Arrival Airport: Nadi International Airport.
Project Tasks: Assisting Librarians with the following tasks and more: Assisting with the children's activites (e.g storytelling, after school activities etc); cataloguing of books; teaching internet skills and assisting with lending services.
Who Can Participate?: IVP. All volunteers wanting to participate in this placement are required to submit a police report which clears them for participation in activities with minors.
Placement Costs: AU$75 per week for food and accommodation with a local family
Accommodation: Stay with a family in a western style house.
Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain any necessary visas.
Required Items: Warm clothes for evenings, sleeping bag, hat, sunscreen, towel, mosquito repellent and basic toiletries.

IVP = Placements for individual volunteers with no special experience or training.
SIVP = Placements for volunteers with related experience, expertise or proven interest
